Day 11 - Theme Parks here we come
It was sad to leave Mexico and say Goodbye to Damian and Sylvie as we really enjoyed spending time with them and catching up on lost time however the adventure must continue and it was off to the next very exciting leg which was Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
By the time we arrived and checked in it was around 5.30pm and I must admit that finding our way from the international terminal, collecting our bags and then checking in on the Disney Magical Express was extremely straight forward and simple.
After arriving and checking in (with free upgrade mind you – very nice) we unpacked our clothes in our “intimate” room and headed straight to the food court. The choice was not great so the kids and I indulged in Chilli Cheese Dogs which funny enough were not that bad. We also purchased our all you can drink thermo cups that enable us to refill as many times as we like whilst at the resort. This includes both cold and hot drinks which is pretty cool.
When we checked in we received a first time visit badge which was cool and also a bit tacky however we also mentioned that it was Jacqui’s birthday so received a happy birthday badge. As it was her birthday in Australia she wore it proudly and was happy with all the well wishers wishingher a happy birthday.
After refuelling we made our way to the EPCOT centre for some action and quickly found the cool rides. The 3 on top of the list were the Mission: Space, Test Track and Soarin. All of these had the adrenalin running and are on the list to try again before we leave. Each day we will try a different part of Disney World including the water parks and we are sure we will have a blast of a time.
The one thing you notice is how big Disney World is. It is huge. To give an understanding to get from our resort to all of the theme parks we need to take a bus which takes approximately 20 minutes. However having said that, the buses run on an extremely regular basis and before long you are at your destination and ready to enjoy the rides.
Our room is located next to the main swimming pool and 5 minutes walk from the food court and bus stop so it is really convenient.
