Mexico - here we come
Day 1 was an extremely long day starting at 5.30am on 26/7 in readiness to be driven to the airport and finishing at 2.00pm 27/7 (AEST) with only 1.5 hours sleep. The kids were fantastic and although tired at no stage were there any complaints, arguments or fights - just plenty of excitement.
I am still convinced that neither Talia or Zac are coming to terms with leaving Melbourne at 10.50am on 26 July and landing in Los Angeles at 7.10am on 26 July. Then to be on a second international flight at 10.50am on 26 July again. Certainly felt like deja vu for them and us.
The trip however was certainly worth it as the apartment we are staying in is beautiful and has a perfect view over a beautiful park and the Mexico Zoo. Basically we are able to see Giraffe's from the apartment.
The language difference will be a challenge for us and we need to give a few phrases a go so hopefully by the time we leave we may be able to communicate in a small way with the locals.
Anyway, as it has been a long first day and we have safely arrived, a good night sleep is in order in readiness for the first day of exploring Mexico.
